My friend Jim was looking up positives and negatives for DIRECTV vs Dish . He found some interesting information that helped him make a decision. He said he had heard a few different people talk about both at work and school events for his kids. He asked me, but I really did not know enough to give an educated opinion on the matter. I told him it seemed like someone at a basketball game or at lunch at work would be better informed than me if they were already chatting about it. I think he was just looking for someone he trusted to give an opinion, but sometimes I think perfect strangers give the best opinions since they do not have any real biases. I guess his kids had been asking about the TV service because they were having some problems with it. After looking up DirecTV and Dish, he ended up changing to DirectTV. He said it seemed like more bang for the buck. Now, he keeps telling me I should switch, too. Maybe I will, but I have to consult with the Misses first!

I just sat down on my chair this morning when my co-teacher came into the faculty. As she entered, my other co-teacher ask her what happen to her last December for there was something bad happen to her. So, I ask about what is it, then she story to us that she was robbed by two men while she was riding in a tricycle early in the morning. She was punched on her arm for how many times while the other was holding her neck and keep on getting her bag. But, with the formidable spirit that she had, she fought back really tried to find ways to escape as the tricycle was keep on moving. She punched back and jumped off from the tricycle. The robbers were able to get her things but atleast nothing worst than that happen to her that can cause her lives. So be careful always everyone.

It was last year when my cousin bought a Home theater set as a birthday gift for my aunt. I really like it since I am fond of playing loud music especially when I am alone at home or I am doing something. I also love to sing even though my voice is not so good. It just stopped when the flood hit our place because during that time I just pulled off everything that is being connected so that our home theater to be saved. After that incident, we started to put things in place. As try to used our home theater I found out the audio and video cables that connects the Television to the DVD player as well as the wires that connects to the speaker were destroyed. It was all cut in between. So, I decided to look for an audio and video cables on the net that is long lasting and high quality audio and video cables

Christmas Celebration

One of the most important holidays of the year and of course my most awaited day had passed and it was "CHRISTMAS". But then, it could still not stop me from reminiscing how wonderful it is to celebrate Christmas in the Philippines. It has been said that we have a longest Christmas season because of that what we call "BER" months. This Months starts from September until December. As early as this months, you could already hear Christmas songs being played on the radio, Christmas trees displayed on the malls, Christmas lights on every houses and hearing people talking about Christmas. Decors are already starting to sprout up or sold for the buyers who are starting to shop around for Christmas. Christmas gifts are already on display in various stores around the country. We also had this tradition which we called "Misa De Gallo" (Dawn Mass) which starts from December 16 up to December 24, this 9 day novena usually happens at around 4:00 am in the morning and they said that if you were able to complete the 9 days, your wish will be granted, but sad to say I wasn't able to complete it. We also have Christmas parties everywhere, well, that is one of our traditions. The food were also delicious. Each family really tried their very best to have something on thier table as they wait for Christmas. Lastly, the caroling where lots of Children are going around the houses to sing Christmas song. It was so funny listening to them even though they were not able to say the lyrics correctly but at least they were in tune. That is CHRISTMAS here in the Philippines.

I love knowing that the house is my domain – my husbandworks every day to make sure we’ve got enough money coming in but for me, I love being at home making sure the house is being taken care of the way I see fit. I love being with the kids while they’re home but it’s nice to be able to contribute In certain ways, too. I recently went to HomeSecurityFamily.COM to look into an alarm for the house and I also thought about getting a maid to come in a few times a week. Some people say they can’t understand that because I’m here all day but I can’t do it all myself between taking care of the kids, being their round the clock chauffeur and making all the meals for everyone, you know? I love being the woman of the house and the authority it gives me and I know my husband appreciates all the work I do around here. That’s what makes it worth it at the end of the day.

Isn't it something, my aunt passed away on the 31st of December, the same date when my grandma passed away years ago. And they also have the same birthday. I remember that we used to celebrate togetehr. And one more thing they looked identical. I think her passing is affecting me so bad because, she's the one who reminded me of my grandma because to be honest, a part of me haven't move on since my grandama died. I feel like I'm losing my grandma forever. All I have is her memories. But I'll be fine, we will all be.

My friend is the wisest person I know. While I know that is an interesting comment to make about someone, it is true. She is always finding the best of everything. She knows when to buy the right stock and when to sell it. She knows what companies have low energy rates in texas. She even knows what banks are the best to have savings accounts in. I know a lot of this just requires research, but I don’t have the time to figure it out. I actually don’t know when she has the time either, but she does. She is able to raise four kids, have a full time job and still know everything about anything. It is amazing how learned she is. I want to compliment her on all she does and knows, but sometimes I think it would come out a little weird. She has become a great friend and mentor and I look up to her more than she will ever know. Maybe one day I will be as wonderful as her, but until then I will just continue to watch her in awe.

One of the things that I love about the show It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is that the story lines are always a little shocking it's rare that I'll watch an episode and not be shocked by something that the characters say or do. But I guess that's more how that show works out and that's a big reason why I love it. I'm so tired of regular old sitcoms that rely on standard structures for that type of a show. It's Always Sunny is really working out that way for me and giving me something fresh and new to watch. It really helps because I get so bored with TV shows.
I was reading up on the new season with my wirless internet Seattle a while back when I saw all the info on Mac's weight gain. I thought at first that he was wearing special effects makeup to make him look like he gained 50 pounds. But he actually did gain 50 pounds!
That was so shocking to me, but I guess that just goes along with why I love the show. Never would I have imagined that his character, who's obsessed with round-house kicks and karate chops, would gain all that weight.

I wonder how the typhoon shape the Filipino.Just last sep.2009, Phillipines was hit by worst typhoon that killed almost 300 people ,thousands became homeless and lived in a temporary shelter. But the Filipinos still stand and fight for survival. That's a Filipino spirit. Because of that it makes us unique from the other races even in the worst moment of our life we still have time to laugh and smile.

After a full day of rushing to meetings and returning calls, it's hard for me to try and remember to do anything once I get home. Thankfully my dog Smudge is quick to remind me I have one more thing on my agenda, and at least his barking is better than seeing Outlook pop up again. Smudge is a mix of Labrador and Chow, and he really seems to enjoy our evening walks. He practically bolts out of the house and yelps impatiently while I lock the door and set the alarm from security.com . We usually walk about two miles and sometime! s more if he pulls me off to a side street.

To be honest, I probably get as much enjoyment out of the walk as he does, I just don't realize I need the opportunity for some fresh air and exercise. He has a pretty full coat, so the evening works well for him for our walks since the sun doesn't beat down on him too much. I'd wear nothing but short sleeves if my office dress code allowed it, so I prefer the cool evenings as well. Walking with Smudge is a great way to let the stress of the day go, and spend some time with my buddy.

Lessons I Learned

For all the challenges and happiness that I experienced in life, I learned something from it and from what I learned it will help me whatever the challenges the future brings for me.

So I learned that :

1. When you got in to a tough place,and everything turn against you, and it seems as though you cannot hold on a minute longer, never give up then because that is just the place and time that the tide will turn. ..which is really true happened to me a lot of times..

2. Best friends best enemies? maybe it happens but it's not forever. Sometimes we tend to open everything to our best friends, even our darkest side , because we think our secrets are safe with them, but to our dismay they are tempted to gossip about it, we hate them like we never hate before. ..but it will be just temporary, ..in time you will no longer feel the pain and it's just like nothing happened...that's because of the magic of true friendship.

3. Age doesn't matter..size does..of the wallet..just kidding..4. You don't really need to wait for your destiny, sometimes you need to make the first move for that destiny to happen..ha

5. Teach people to treat you nicely. They will do what you tolerate. Learn how to say NO. Sometimes people will tease you below the belt, if you tolerate it, they would think it's okay. Even if it's just plain common sense, but promise there's a lot of insensitive people around.

6.Never borrow money if y0u don't have plans of paying it.

7. Money can't buy happiness , it can fix problem..TEMPORARILY..

8. Payback is a bitch, so don't screw me!..joke I don't revenge

9.If you don't have something nice to say, just shut up!

10. A simple "I'm sorry" is all I need but if you're making excuses, you ruined it..

11. Forgiving is easy, it's forgetting that's hard.

13. A successful marriage requires falling in love many times but only with the same person.

14. The one who keeps on talking is the one who's guilty.

15. All glory starts from daring to begin

16. I can't do everything in stiletto..sooo hard..

It's a nice day! I chatted with my sister yesterday and I'm happy because she's going to buy some stuffs for me from the USA. I wish they'll be able to visit us again. Right now, they're saving money to buy their dream house. Her husband want to have a classic look in their house that's why they're using log furniture. My sister found a nice collection of these kind of furniture at Scenic Furniture. They carry different kinds of handcrafted furniture made from the best woods the nature can offer. One of my most favorites is the Eastern Red Cedar Bedroom Collection. It consists of a King size bed which has two cross rails on both head and foot board. The pieces are stunning that will give you a lot of compliments once you have this kind of collection in your house.

Why time flies so fast?I don't like it anymore:-(. Today is Holy Friday so I'm just taking things slow. I didn't watch ABS CBN. Instead I', staying with my kids all the time, then I noticed that if I don't leave them alone by themselves for a long time, they make lesser mess because I 'm able to stop whatever mess they started and have them pick them right away. When I'm so occupied in watching my ABS CBN shows, I didn't realized I leave them by themselves for over an hour already. Boy, I can't describe how much mess they made, enough to give me stress for the whole day. Now I change my routine, and I'm happy. It's only 10AM, no mess at all. The kitchen is clean, no cherrios in the living room. Right now, they're playing in their bedroom, so I just let them play there for 30 minutes and I'll check on them.

Me and happy family are so happy because we received the package that my sister sent us. She's in California right now with her loving family.She has gifts for all of us. She gave me t-shirts from Old Navy, shoes and vitamins. She gave us jewelries, canned foods, candies, lotions, perfumes and many more. I love the perfumes that she sent us. Most of them are from the Victoria Secret. Even though I can't used them but I'm still glad because I can give it my girlfriend. My sister promised to give me a perfume from Hugo Boss. I love the scent of it. It's not that strong.I will also ask a perfume from Calvin Klein the next time she will send us a package. I will visit Scent.net, to look around for perfumes that she might wanna buy for me:-)

As of now I have 3 major credit cards and more than 5 store credit cards. I just realized that I made a major mistake for grasping on every credit card offers I got from the mail. But now that I realized my mistake I will correct it before it will make a major damage in my credit score. My score was down with 20 points that's why from now on I will pay off my store cards. I will make a credit card comparison to find out the best credit that will suit my needs. There are helpful sites that will guide us finding the best card. For example, the dealsforcreditcards.com. They provide comparisons for all the best credit cards. It's either you want a card that has no annual fee or something that offers generous rewards, they got it all.

I sleep past midnight because I watched the replay of the CVC Law Debate. It's the semi-finals and its between the Arellano- Ateneo ( Manila :-) . The topic is about the Scrapping of the Pork Barrel Fund. Arellano on the affirmative side won by 1 point. For my own opinion the Pork Barrel Fund should be eliminated because most politicians just used it for their personal interests. Next will be a battle between Ateneo de Davao and I don't know who's the opponent.. I was too sleepy already when they announced it.

So Finally I bought a copy of Journeys new album in Walmart. It's only $11+, pretty good buy because it includes 2 CDs and 1 DVD of their live performance. Life now is very hard especially that prices of our basic need is increasing. One good example of this is the price of rice here in the Philippines, from 27 pesos per kilo it goes up to 35 pesos per kilo in just less than a week. Can you imagine that???Our government is assuring us that there will enough supply of rice for everybody and we should not practice the panic buying but then, how could we not if it can be clearlly seen by our naked eye the scarcity or rice.How can we eat now since our salary did not inrease while the basic commodities increases continously. Just this evening,while I am eating my dinner in a carenderia.I noticed that the staff of the said carendaria loss weight than before. Street children are eating the leftover in the carenderia and most of the food chains now are serving half rice. See,i haven't imagined that life is so complicated now than before. Well,I guess its time for us to realize that nothing is permanent in this world and we must all be ready whatever will be the changes in the future

When I log in in PayPerPost this morning, what a lovely news. My blog was approved by Payperpost. I learned about this cool site from my sister who never get tired of encouraging me. I'm so lucky of her persistence. I love to blog, it's my diversion from the daily stress cause by traffic, work and sometimes people :-). Through blogging I gain friends who share the same interest like me and who can comprehend what I really meant to say. Then I learned that you can actually earn from your blog. It's amazing.

PayPerPost will compensate me through my blog reviews. How cool is that! I subscribed to Lucky Magazine because I want to be updated with latest fashion. I come acroos with this cool article about whitening underarm stains. This will help my brother who perspires a lot because of the warm climate in the Philippines.

This is according to Karen Reinitz and Abigale Levinson, designers behind the cool line AKA New York.

So here how it works:

You only need one tablet of Aspirin and washing machine.

Instructions:
1. Put your discolored tees in the washing machine and let the water start streaming in ( temperature doesn't matter), add detergent as usual.

2. Drop in the Aspirin when the basin is filled with water.

3. Close the door and let the cycle finish.

4. White tees really do come out looking whiter than ever.

When I told my brother about paid blogging, he started doing this but it seems like he's too busy lately, so I decided to take over for awhile. Maybe that's what brothers and sister are for. I remember when we were still in college, we went to the same school and we're both in the same department., there are times that we go over our budget, my brother always share what he have, at times that he have to absent from school and just give me his allowance so that I won't miss my class. He's very unselfish. He sacrificed a lot for me. I owe a lot from him until now I still don't know how to repay him. Although I know he's not expecting in return but someday, I promise I will surely help him.

I'm so glad that since January of this year I'm not anymore using my credit cards. I have more than two credit cards and I realize it's a bad thing. I have 3 major credit cards and about six store credit cards. Whew!!When I'm using them before, I can't control buying unnecessary stuffs. But now, it seems avoiding using credit cards is a working progress for me. It's better that it will remain clean so that at times of emergency I have something to use.

What really excites me during after season sale is that I get to buy stuffs for my family in the Philippines. What I usually do is I put a 24X24X24 Balikbayan Box in our closet or in our storage room, and slowly fill it up. When it's full, it's ready for shipping. I'm so excited because I know it will put smiles in my loved ones faces.
What I really like here in the states because you can get branded stuff at a discounted price especially when you buy in bulk.
I think two weeks more to go before my package arrive.So far, all packages that I've sent arrived completely so this time I'm still confident that it won't be lost. I hope so.

We often hear the sayings which said" Mother's Knows Best". It's been proven most of the times. Because there are times that I'm confused I would ask my mom's counsel, I was able to weigh things right.
I would like to site for example the recent fight of Manny Pacquiao, while he was fighting her mom was fervently praying for his protection. No doubt, his mom's prayers was part of his triumph. It just take a prayerful mom behind our success.

gud day everyone!!!my gf invited me to attend a eucharistic mass just a while ago because she noticed that it was months ago since I was not able to attend a mass but then I refused,why? because I still have work and I will be late if I will attend a mass. She kept on convincing me and I still said no..since she was already late for the 3 pm she decided to attend the 4 pm mass instead,while waiting for the time,she told me that it was better to stay in the mall because i will also leave at 4 pm..at around 3:15 my supervisor texted me that I should better take a rest today because the machine was out of order and i'm quite disappointed to it..my gf keep on teasing me that if only I go with her to attend the 3pm mass (here in the Philippines there is always a mass every hour during sunday) maybe the machine will still be in good condition and of course I will not be force to take a day off..God really made a way...Forgive me Lord...

They didn't know yet that mom's having a son but I've been naming him already Dongdong. They didn't know why I call him Dongdong. That is just what come in my mouth that first time I know that I'm having a baby brother. I can't recall why I'm naming him that too. When i was a 2nd yr college student, I got very disappointed when I first opened a squirrel cage induction motor. There was nothing inside. Only some wires that do not move and heavy iron cylinder fixed on an axle.The most interesting parts were bearings and a cooling fan but they didn't explain how an induction motor work. To me, the induction motor remained a mystery for a long time. however, slowly,it revealed some of its secrets. Now i must say that an induction motor is absolutely an ingenious device.it is rugged, long lasting,quiet, clean and most of all, it is cheap. most of its good properties come from its apparent" nothing inside" simplicity i learned all this during our preventive maintenance..

yesterday was the birthday of my dear mother..I am so sad coz i was not able to went home, but then I already told her that I can't come because my superior won't allow me to absent..so what I did was just I called her up to greet her..I tried calling for almost 5 times during morning to greet her "happy birthday" but it was out of coverage and I wonder why..during afternoon at around 1 pm i tried calling her again and this time it rings, i keep on listening on the ring tone but I think nobody cared to answer my call and I almost got irritated..at last at around 5 pm i was able to talk to my mother finally and she was very happy after hearing my voice..I miss mom soooo much. I promised her that if i will have time i will visit them.

This is my brother's blog site, I have to make the first post for him to get his butt moving :-). I shared to him about my paid blogging so he got curious. He's an electrical engineer and working in Davao. Even though he's still single(but committed) he's salary sometimes couldn't make both ends met.Well, he's so generous to our family that's why I'm proud of him.
